PICNIC (with Heidi Sopinka and Natalie Matutchovsky, 2009) was a series of photographs and costumed
picnic performances held in locations near to the Mexico City residence of Leonora Carrington, the
oldest living Surrealist. Each creative gesture incorporated elaborate iconography from Carrington’s
paintings and writings in an attempt to confront our own mythless culture.
